Released last year and now available on Disney+, See How They Run is a true gem. A whodunnit set in 1953 London, where a detective, stuck with an inexperienced constable to assist him, must solve the murder of a universally disliked director.
Add to that the theater adaptation of Agatha Christie’s The Mousetrap, a slew of artistic characters, the writer herself, plenty of intrigue, a dastardly murderer, and you know Inspector Stoppard (Sam Rockwell) and Constable Stalker (Saoirse Ronan) will have their hands full.
Their journey to solve the murder is full of hilarious moments, carried especially by Ronan, and twists and turns becoming of an Agatha Christie story. It is truly brought superbly.
The characters and setting alone make this movie worthwhile, but the story is also expertly developed, making this an absolute must-watch if you love a bit of fun with your murder mysteries.
