Comic Con Brussels

With Ewan McGregor, Anthony Daniels and many new artists to discover.

If the last edition of Comic Con Brussels (read our review here) left Star Wars fans hungry for more, this October’s edition doubled down with both Ewan McGregor (Obi-Wan Kenobi) and Anthony Daniels (C-3PO) as guests.

If you were there in the spring, you may remember the gigantic line of visitors waiting to meet Hayden Christensen (Anakin Skywalker). Thankfully, it appears the organization rethought the queuing system to make it smoother this time. There was no line to be seen despite the event being moved to one side-area of La Gare Maritime. Visitors were able to queue inside this time and did not have to endure Belgium’s autumn weather, in other words, la drache.

The guest lineup further included Christopher Lloyd (Back to the Future, The Addams Family), Lana Parrilla, Sean Maguire and Rebecca Mader (Once Upon a Time), Jim Beaver (Supernatural, Deadwood) and Jamie Campbell Bower (Stranger Things). Video-games fans weren’t forgotten with Roger Clark and Rob Wiethoff, voices actors in Red Dead Redemption, making an appearance.

As always, it’s a pleasure to roam the artist alley. Whether you’re looking for art prints, stickers or all sorts of other — hand- and human-made — creations about your favorite fandoms, this is the place to be!

Some artists who participated in the con were back to sell their work. You may be familiar with the stands of Yawarra, returning with some new Over the Garden Wall prints; Lebre.por gato, whose acrylic charms I particularly love; or Tomattiea and her wonderful cat-themed creations.

New discoveries of the weekend included Chocopindaa and his prints that you didn’t want to miss if you’re into Baldur’s Gate, and more specifically the character Gale, or Arcane. He was part of a stamp rally along RebelkeLord Ratgun and Boomarrows, who we all happily visited to complete our stamp sheet.

Wandering in the artist alley and everywhere else in the convention, we came across some incredible cosplayers. Special mention to Glinda from Wicked, a big Lord of the Rings group composed of at least Gandalf, Gimli, Sam, Arwen and Aragorn, and the four Ninja Turtles in some very impressive and accurate costumes. Some steampunk folks were also seen around.

Last year, the cosplay catwalk stood in the middle of La Gare Maritime and drew quite a crowd around it, which made navigating between stands a bit challenging. This time, we were pleasantly surprised to notice it had been moved to the side, fusing it with the University Stage.

Another upside of this: the possibility to use the chairs in front of the stage whereas spectators had to stand up and constantly let others pass them by in the past.

When it came to pause for food, fear not, because numerous options were available. The tasty boswandeling pasta with mushrooms and bacon are our top choice, but there were also several veggie options, like hamburgers, pasta, onigiri and corndogs. It is also allowed to bring your own food if that suits you better.

Whether you want to meet the celebrities, visit the artists and dealers, or meet up with friends, Comic Con Brussels is a really fun event to attend. Although the noise and crowd in some areas might be overwhelming, and it’s worth bringing some earplugs to stay comfortable, there is enough to see all around to fill your day.

If you still haven’t got enough of the Comic Con atmosphere, feel free to already plan your return to the next edition on May 2-3 2026.
