Elftopia

Now in its fourth year, this Belgian fantasy festival can easily compete with others of the same nature.

Elftopia fantasy faire has grown during its four years into an event that can easily compete with others of the same nature.

Sure, it has the same elements as most other fantasy faires: it’s held on the grounds of a castle, there’s tons of see and do, plenty of areas to take amazing photos in and of, and an incredibly varied programme. You can go shopping, choose from a variety of food trucks for a meal, the toilets are of the “bring your own paper and wet wipes kind,” there are a variety of guests to meet (if you want a photo with them or an autograph, that’s for an additional fee), workshops and they have mermaids swimming in the moat.

Elftopia is filled to the brim with things to see and do, whether you are into full-on fantasy, LARP, shopping, steampunk or popular culture. While dogs (except service dogs) aren’t allowed, it is a very family-friendly affair that all ages can enjoy.

And of course, there is a steampunk encampment, and many visitors also dress up in steampunk, so if you want to meet like-minded individuals, Elftopia is the place to be. Especially if you want to see what cool and original things SteamNation has come up with this year!
